2011 Recruiting: 10 WR’s to watch
#1 Kasen Williams 6′2 195 Issaquah, WA
Kasen is probably the best WR this year and may not even be close. The Skyline HS prospect could be headed to BYU where former teammate QB Jake Heaps is headed but this kid is being recruited by everybody and will be interesting to see where he ends up.
#2 Sammy Watkins 6′1 180 Fort Meyers, FL
Sammy is the younger brother of 2010 signee CB Jaylen Watkins, but saying that this will be a heated battle between the Gators and Hurricanes, but one has to think the Gators may hold the edge considering Jaylen is at UF and the Gators are very interested in Sammy.
#3 Kelvin Benjamin 6′6 210 Belle Glade, FL
Kelvin is another kid that could end up being a Gators vs Hurricanes recruiting battle and anytime you can get a talented 6′6 WR who has legit speed it is a must get recruit. The Gators are high on Kelvin’s list and this is a type of kid who would dominate in the spread offense against man coverage with his height and speed.
#4 Quinta Funderburk 6′3 185 Chesapeake, VA
Quinta was recently just offered by the Gators and is another kid who has great size and the speed to do well in the UF system. It is rumored that Qunita favors the Gators over instate Virginia Tech and is a kid who may be willing to pull the trigger for the Gators before the summer is over.
#5 George Farmer 6′2 197 Gardena, CA
George is probably the best WR available in the state of California and will be interesting to see if he will make it down to the south to visit the Gators. With any top rated player in California watch out for the Trojans here but the depth chart at UF may be to Farmer’s liking over the Trojans.
#6 Rashad Greene 6′1 170 Fort Lauderdale, FL
Rashad is an outstanding prospect from the famous St. Thomas Aquinas and should be another heated instate battle between the Gators, noles, and hurricanes and will be interesting to watch considering St. Thomas sent 3 top rated prospects to all 3 schools this past recruiting season.
#7 Andre Davis 6′1 180 Tampa, FL
Tampa is usually a hotbed for the Gators to snag some talent and Davis is probably one of the best from that area. Davis will most likely be a UF vs FSU recruiting battle had a stellar junior year and attends Jefferson High School where Andre Caldwell attended.
#8 Javares McRoy 5′9 165 Lakeland, FL
Javares committed already to Texas Tech because he wants to play ball with his older brother but watch for him to maybe make a switch if the Gators come calling.
#9 Charone Peake 6′3 170 Spartanburg, SC
The state of South Carolina is starting to become a recruiting hotbed and Peake is a talented WR but will be tough to pull from the instate schools of Clemson and South Carolina.
#10 Damiere Byrd 5′9 162 Erial, NJ
He may be short in stature but this kid can fly and would be a type of player who could make an immediate impact in the special teams department with his size and speed.

Nickolas Brassell 6′2 180 Batesville, MS
